Thank you, St. Bernard’s

The students at St. Bernard’s Catholic School are leading the way toward a more inclusive tomorrow.

The students of St. Bernard’s Catholic School rallied together to host a fundraiser, generously donating all proceeds to Jake’s House and to supporting our families.

The school also launched a new initiative to further support those affected within their immediate community: they developed a Sensory Space. This area provides the St.Bernard students affected by autism with welcome respite when the school day becomes overwhelming–it is a calming space in which they can decompress, rest and recompose, before returning to regular activities.

We were thrilled to attend the opening of the Sensory Space on January 24th, and hope the clear message of the day spreads far and wide: we all belong. Thank you, St. Bernard’s, for your contributions to Jake’s House and the autism community.
