Ryerson Volunteer & Involvement Fair

On September 18, 2019, members of the Jake’s House team participated in the Ryerson volunteer fair to spread awareness in the importance of becoming a volunteer for our Legends Mentoring Program. Students around the campuses had the opportunity to learn more about our initiatives and how they can make a massive impact.

Throughout the day, students were able to experience the excitement of what it’s like to be part of the Jake’s House family. They participated in our giveaway draw, obtained information on the different ways they can give back to the community, and signed up for some of our legendary workshops.

We want to thank each student that engaged with us at our booth and are now proudly part of the Jake’s House family. Giving back to the community by impacting lives positively not only helps each person to grow individually but helps them professionally by adding experience to their resume.

The Legends Mentoring Program offers youth with autism, opportunities to socialize and learn new skills in mentor-led, interactive workshops. We are always looking for new friends to become part of our programs and continue to support our initiatives in the community.
