It’s Our Time to Shine this World Autism Month!
Join us in celebrating World Autism Month this April and commemorating 20 impactful years with Jake’s House Charity. As we reflect on two decades of community support to individuals and families living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), we invite you to be a part of our special April Campaign.
From fundraising events and volunteer opportunities to sharing acceptance and appreciation through social media and community outreach, every contribution makes a difference. Additionally, we offer numerous programs and events for families with ASD and community members to engage in, fostering meaningful connections.
Throughout the month of April, we will be featuring our Jake’s House family in our social media content, shining the spotlight on their stories and experiences.

Raise $500 and receive a Jake’s House flag to raise for World Autism Day or Month in April 2024!
Raise $2500 and receive a table (6 tickets) to Jake’s House “Our Night to Shine” April 25th event!
DIY FUNDRAISE FOR WORLD AUTISM MONTH
Organize your own DIY Fundraiser in April for World Autism Day/Month!
1. Register your organization, school, team, or as an individual on Canada Helps- click here
2. Organize a DIY Fundraiser. Brainstorm creative ways to collect donations- consider seasonal bake/craft sales, fun run/walk, dance-a-thon, raffle experiences, trivia night, dress-down day, garage sales and more!
3. Set a fundraising goal and track your progress.
4. Submit photos, testimonials, and share your fundraiser on all social media platforms with the hashtag #OurTimeToShine. Don’t forget to tag Jake’s House!
STREAM OUR DOCUMENTARY ASD BAND: THE MOVIE!

ASD BAND: THE MOVIE follows the members of ASD Band as they embark upon the difficult journey of writing and recording their first album, and ultimately performing their first public show. Along the way, they learn to navigate a world foreign to them by finding strength in others who share the same challenges.
Life on the spectrum has many individual challenges, but together, anything is possible.
ASD BAND: THE MOVIE will broadcast on PBS next year, but you are invited to this special virtual premiere of the film. Enjoy the show!
