Lauren Abramson

Lauren Abramson has an extensive background in recruitment, working for several not-for-profit organizations throughout her career, and has an academic background in education, studying at both Laurier University and Dalhousie University. Today, Lauren is a part of the Recruitment Team at Specialisterne Canada, a Toronto-based non-profit dedicated to solving the staffing needs of Canadian businesses by connecting them to an underutilized talent pool which includes individuals on the autism spectrum. Alongside the recruitment team, Lauren coordinates all recruitment initiatives for Specalisterne’s employment programs, and serves as the Recruitment Program Coordinator for Jake’s House Employment Mentoring. With Jake’s House, Lauren develops and executes outreach strategies designed to reach young adults with autism looking for work, who are also ideal candidates for the companies engaged in Jake’s House Employment Mentoring.
