ABOUT JAKE’S HOUSE EMPLOYMENT MENTORING PROGRAM
Jake’s House Employment Mentoring Program is an innovative, adaptable program that supports the integration of young adults with autism or a developmental disability, into the workforce. Through a training & skills program followed by placements at companies in diverse fields, the young adults receive opportunities to develop their professional skills and demonstrate them to employers looking to build strong, vibrant teams, all under the personal guidance of caring mentors.

Jake’s House Employment Expo provides a unique career fair opportunity that aims to support individuals with autism or a developmental disability to connect with meaningful employment opportunities.
Jake’s House Employment Expo is powered by Spectrum Works, an organization that has been committed to breaking the stigmas associated with people living with autism or developmental disabilities. Spectrum Works is dedicated to helping job seekers with autism or developmental disabilities find employment, educate the overall community, and raise awareness.
These career fairs across Ontario are designed to bring together local employers who are interested in building a diverse workforce by connecting with individuals with autism or a developmental disability who are eager to work and contribute to their communities. The Jake’s House Employment Expo features a range of employment opportunities from various industries, including construction, manufacturing, retail, health, hospitality, security, and finance.
The Jake’s House Employment Expo was designed to enable Ontario’s labour force to diversify its employment landscape. Supporting corporate Canada, skilled trades and creating harmonious workplace practices are essential to the social and economic well-being of those with developmental disabilities within the Province of Ontario.
