Career Day at Jake’s House Community Residences

On August 23rd, 2022, Jake’s House hosted a career day seminar at the Jake’s House Community Residence in Lucan, Ontario. The team spent the day with residents interested in entering the workforce and took the time to learn about their past experiences, identify skills, interests, and goals. The residents have a diverse range of skills, educational backgrounds, and work experiences such as photography, retail, writing, cooking, and assembly line.

The Jake’s House team helped the residents create resumes, explore career possibilities, and prepare for an interview. The team will continue to work closely with the residents to find career opportunities and other avenues of contributing to their local community.
